"The column seems rugged enough, especially with the guard cartridges. It performs well enough with my dilute-and-shoot methodology for the simultaneous detection of several opiods, benzos, and illicits. I probably get about 800 injections before I see a significant loss in sensitivity or performance. Customer support is very good."

"I started to use Kinetex C18, 2.6u a few weeks ago for botanical analysis such as ginseng, citrus etc. The back pressure and resolution are pretty good. Compared to conventional sub 2 um C18 columns, I like core shell columns like Kinetex. Even without UPLC, conventional HPLC still can run rapid resolution. Like the Kinetex C18, the Kinetex C8, 2.6u has superior back pressure and resolution. I am pretty happy to work with this column for my analytical job."

"We have been using the Kinetex columns to develop methods for detection of residual active pharmaceutical ingredients in swab and rinse samples from production equipment (i.e. cleaning). The 50mm biphenyl column has been great for polar and difficult compounds that have not resolved from the solvent front or other interferences using other C18, C8, or phenyl-hexyl columns. The methods are fast with good separation and peak shape."

Ultra-High Performance from HPLC to UHPLC

Kinetex 2.6 µm core-shell particles have been engineered to provide ultra-high performance under moderate operating pressures. The unique particle design incorporates a solid silica core and a porous outer shell. The technology offers chromatographic performance and speed previously only achievable using sub-2-micron particles on specialized, ultra-high-pressure-capable instrumentation. Kinetex core-shell technology allows laboratories to immediately increase productivity on their current systems. With Kinetex, chromatographic methods can be completed in a fraction of the time previously required with fully porous 3 µm and 5 µm particles. Additionally, the increased separation efficiencies of Kinetex significantly reduce the expense and environmental impact of organic solvent usage and disposal.
