Good products if you want to do SNP genotyping.
Application Area:SNP genotyping of thousands of DNA samples
"The KASP SNP genotyping reagents are very easy to use, reliable, stable and comes with good "how to use" manuals. The only thing to complain about is the delivery time of reagents, we often need our ordered products quite fast, but your fast turnaround time is two weeks and most often it even takes a few days more.."

KASP genotyping is the easiest way to carry out genetic mapping processes!
Application Area:Plant genotyping
"We use KBD assays, ordering KASP markers for plant genotpying for the aim of genetic mapping. Very easy and efficient syste, only a qPCR machine and a bit of a plactiware are required. Would use more the KBD assays, if it would be a bit cheaper and a bit quicker for marker ordering, but very glad of the service overall. Maybe a bar-coded system would help to order big batch of oligos in advance, then you just have to submit the sequence of interest."

Super fast method for analyzing large numbers of samples. This product is helpful for analyzing segregating population on a large scale. It's easy to analyze the results.
Application Area:Genotyping
"Super fast method for analyzing large numbers of samples. This product is helpful for analyzing segregating population on a large scale. For example, searching for the EMS mutated candidate gene responsible for the phenotype in segregating population after outcross. Only 3 components (DNA of interest, KASP reagent and KASP assay) required, therefore very easily done in 96 well plate. Easy to analyze the results. Mostly no false positive observed. One of best, quick and easy assays in my PhD work."

Application Area:Genotyping of tilapia species based on polymorphisms in adenosine deaminase gene
"The method for distinguishing two different alleles and the combination is very easy to use, less expensive for genotyping compared to sequencing whole sequences. However the cost for primer designing is still quite expensive. It is a very good breakthrough to know genetic occurrences at nucleotide level."
The custom KASP™ Assay mix consists of three KASP primers, custom-designed to target the SNP or InDel of interest. Assay design (primer selection) is performed using proprietary Kraken™ software system and is validated in-silico.
The two allele-specific forward primers and the common reverse primer are combined to create a SNP-specific custom KASP assay.
For human research applications it is advisable to include additional KASP assay validation services for your assays.
The KASP assay validation service includes design and full validation and optimisation of your assay by our laboratory scientists prior to delivery. Assay design (primer selection) is performed either using proprietary Kraken™ software, or manually by scientists where required. The two allele-specific forward primers and the common reverse primer are combined to create the SNP-specific custom assay. This assay aliquot is then validated in a laboratory using a validation panel (human assays only) or your own DNA samples.
For human research applications it is advisable to use this KASP assay validation service for your assays.
