"The JEOL 1400 TEM is one of the best TEMs on the market. It is extremely user friendly and integrated. The optics are superior to other TEMs. Alignment is a breeze and the settings hold for repeated images. I am very happy with our purchase of the JEOL 1400 TEM."

Fantastic bit of kit, a must have in any chemistry department.

  • Application Area:Analysis of polyaniline nanofibers.

"It acted as an integral part of my research and worked reliably and consistently. I conducted many experiments over 9 months and all data collected was to a high-standard. Most was used in my final thesis. Simple and user-friendly. I wasn’t part of purchasing the instrument however, during my use there were some issues with the vacuum that weren’t addressed by the sales care team."

Very reliable and stable TEM

  • Application Area:Research for genetic pathways in neurodegenerative diseases.

"This product requires a little bit of previous TEM experience, but is very user friendly and very reliable. We look at different pathways of neurodegenerative diseases with mag ranges from 200X to 50K. We have taken biological images though at 100K. The TEM system and software are very stable and require almost no day to day complete alignment. In this system you get to control the "Z" axis alignment which I find very useful and enables me to obtain images that are sharp and clean despite grid problems. As always JEOL is a very competent company and gives great customer service. Best value for the money."

"Three different operating modes - engineer, technician and everyday user - mean less maintenance of alignment. It has taken a while to get everything fully installed and to complete all training, but the manufacturer listened to our requirements via demo visits and ensured the machine we bought was fit for purpose."
