This tetrazolium dye precursor forms a purple formazan dye on reduction and has been used in a variety of applications. It is considered to have higher reactivity than some tetrazolium compounds, at least with respect to succinate dehydrogenase, with optimal results obtained using a concentration of 0.8 mM INT.The formazan (available as I7375) is comparatively insoluble in water, so can be detected visually or extracted into ethanol or organic solvent and determined spectrophotometrically. "Like all the chemicals from SigmaAldrich, Iodonitrotetrazolium chloride works excellently. I use Iodonitrotetrazolium chloride to visualise dehydrogenase enzyme activity histochemically in my experiments. The packaging and leaflet is self explanatory with all the details. Even all related information and related articles are given on their webpage. The quality itself pays you back every penny that you spend on it. Accuracy is a word I get in mind for SigmaAldrich. Whenever I inquire about any chemical or other products, the sales people respond quickly with all the details required. I strongly recommend this product."
