"This device has an extremely robust design to suit a variety of lab conditions. Importantly, it is user friendly and accessible to the novice. Great attention to detail has been paid in all regards of functionality, for example how the system can be calibrated in a consistent manner with its faraday cage, sturdy lead construction, minimalist interface indicators. The software suites and their GUI's are intuitive and well presented. To date, I have not experienced an equipment fault."

Important Equipment for Electrochemical Measurements

"Positive feedback: It is easy to learn how to use the potentiostat for the measurement of cell impedance. We also generate reproducible results with the equipment. What can be improved: A potentiostat can be used for many other purposes. It will extremely helpful if there are short videos or webinars demonstrating how to use the equipment for GITT measurements, CV measurements and etc."

"I have been a Gamry user for 6 years and never feel like using other brands.What makes Gamry stands out is its instructions, design of user interface, and services. When I started as a student, the first Gamry guide I found clearly stated and instructed how a potentiostat functions, including intuitive figures so that a user can hardly make a mistake. I have had the chance to work with two other brands of potentiostats but my personal opinion of Gamry is five stars. It is simple, clear, and confusion-free, plus the data processing is hassle-free. Last but not least, the service. I have never waited more than three days for Gamry with a technical question or quote inquiry. I can talk to a knowledgeable person to resolve my issue."

"I have been using the Gamry Interface 1000 E potentiostat forsix months. Cyclic voltammetry test (CV), Choronoamperometry test, and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) are some of the electrochemical tests I have been doing through it to electrochemically analyze the microbial fuel cell. This equipment is reliable to study the mechanisms of electrode reactions underlying oxidation or reduction reactions in anode and cathode compartment in the microbial fuel cell. It is easy to start, and simple to operate with stable performance. It gives accurate measurement and good reproducible. Gamry Instruments Framework is user-friendly and easy to use. Data analysis with Gamry Echem Analyst is always effortless to me. Raw data can be export as an excel file or as a metafile, or as a bitmap file for further analysis which shows its versatility and always easy to handle the data. Within the price of less than $10K it provides all the functions which is the beauty of this product. Gamry technical support for some help is very effective. The communication is very effective and helpful either through email or call, providing us information about some new functions and capabilities of the instrument too. The instrument is portable. Its size approximately equal to one A4 paper which makes it easy to transfer from one place to another in the lab and occupy less space. Four LEDs: power, data transfer usb, cell on and overload always indicate the working condition of the instrument and we can visually monitor the experiment by watching the LEDs status too. Calibration of the instrument is always easy to do as per the information provided in its manual. Overall, this instrument is very versatile, efficient and user-friendly. However, rusting in its alligator clips is often occur. Working with some liquid samples can create rusting problem in its alligator clip and it has to change frequently."

"We have used Gamry Potentiostats for over 20 years and they have always provided accurate and repeatable results. Gamry's potentiostats hold calibration very well and are long lived. We use them almost daily and they typically provide 10+ years of reliable service. When one has required service, Gamry has always provided prompt technical support and repair. The IFC 1000E is portable which makes it ideal for making field measurements. The instrument is provided with Gamry's full suite of software which is straight forward and easy to use. All of this makes it a great value for the money. We highly recommend Gamry Instruments to anyone performing electrochemical testing."
