InnuPure^® C16 by Analytik Jena GmbH+Co. KG

The InnuPure^® C16 is a new, flexible and efficient extraction system for the completely automated isolation and purification of nucleic acids. The system, which is developed and produced in Germany, is designed for small and medium sample throughput. A wide range of starting materials can be processed. The system combines a unique way of performing liquid handling steps with an extremely fast walk-away principle. The work intensive steps for sample lysis, that were often necessary in advance are now incorporated into the automated extraction process, depending on the starting material. The nucleic acids to be isolated are adsorbed to surface-functionalized magnetic or paramagnetic particles. The required extraction chemistry is optimally adapted to the application at hand and facilitates the isolation of very pure nucleic acids with excellent yields.

The magnetic particle separation process is carried out fully automatically in the cavities of the used extraction plastic. After the introduction of the starting material into the isolation process the necessary reagents are pipetted to the sample and automatically removed by pipette tip.

Here, the magnetic particle bounded nucleic acids are collected at the bottom of the wells and in relation to the routine by optimized pipetting up and down turned again in solution. Finally the DNA or RNA are eluted for direct storage or other applications in separate containers with lids. The extraction principle also prevents efficiently the problem of cross contamination that often occurs in vacuum based purification methods. In addition, the InnuPure^® C16 is equipped with pre-installed application protocols in order to avoid time-consuming programming.
