  • Application Area: Plant RNA Preparation

"This kit provides an easy way to get high yields of RNA in very little time. After grinding your material from start to end of processing it, the kit does not even take an hour to complete the RNA. The RNA is very pure regarding the 260/280 and 260/230 absorption quotients measured in a spectrophotometer. Therefore, there are never problems with degraded RNA in our lab. The kit works for plant roots (mostly transformed hairy roots or roots from young plants) and for shoot/leaf materials. It is also very user friendly since there are no toxic compounds like phenol or chloroform involved. If there are any questions, there is always a representative of the company available, although we never experienced any problems with the kit which had to be solved in the four years that we are using it now (since 2010). Of course the kit is not cheap, but you get very much for your money, so we say it is definitely worth it and we can recommend it."

The chemistry underlying the innuPREP Plant RNA Kit, which has been specially adapted for isolating plant materials (e. g. leaves, caulis, root, blossom), guarantees highly efficient lysis and effectively deactivates endogenous and exogenous RNases.

The innuPREP Plant RNA Kit contains two Lysis Buffers in order to process as wide a range as possible of different plant materials, particularly plant components with widely differing characteristics. The Lysis Buffer RL, by comparison, is an universal buffer and the Lysis Buffer PL has been specifically adapted to difficult plants such as roses or potatoes. The total extracted RNA is of excellent quality can be used directly in subsequent applications.
