The innuPREP Bacteria DNA Kit - IP has been optimized especially for use with the InnuPure® C12 or C16 automated extraction systems for isolating bacterial DNA after standard culturing. The kit can be used to process gram positive and gram negative bacteria alike, whereby an optional, initial cell-wall lysis step (treatment with lysozyme) is recommended for gram+ samples. In addition to subsequent proteolytic digestion, bacterial DNA also binds to the surface of magnetic and paramagnetic particles, and the DNA is automatically washed multiple times. These features together ensure outstanding yields and purity of the isolated nucleic acids.
