The PFA system is a point care instrument that gives reliable and reproduble test results.

"Easy to use. PFA200 alows rapid and global evaluation of primary hemostasis on wole blood. It replaces bleeding time which is not recommended. It is a reliable and useful tool for detection of functional inherited and acquired platelet disorders, screening of von Willebrand disease and for monitoring of anti platelet therapy. Several pre-analytic variables affect PFA test result: plasma von Willebrand factor, citrate concentration, ABO blood group and time of blood collection. By standardizing pre-analytic conditions, thePFA test is reproductible."

Very reliable easy to use analyzer. Functions consistently as intended.
Application Area:Clinical Hemostasis testing
"This analyzer hasn't had 1 downtime in 3 years of operation. We use it for platelet function testing as a screen for bleeding disorder detection before specific major surgeries. The only drawback is the packaging of the cartridges. We run a limited amount of these tests and a smaller package option would allow us to have less waste of an expensive consumable. Reproducibility has been good for our analyzer. Maintenance is very minimal."

The INNOVANCE PFA-200 System provides simple, rapid, qualitative, and precise automated assessment of platelet function and supports clinically relevant decision-making processes effecting therapies. The system quickly measures platelet plug formation in a small whole blood sample (800 μL) and reports a ”closure time” in 5–8 minutes.
