Realiable outputs, easy to use and versatile.
Application Area: Measuring bacterial growth, Quantification of DNA/RNA, Colorimetric assays
"We initially looked for an instrument to be used for the estimation of bacterial growth rates. While evaluating our options we realised that it would be good to expand the uses of the machine to the quantification of nucleic acids. We settled on the Infinite 200 NanoQuant together with the M200 Pro NanoQuant plate. The main reason for that was the fact that the Nano Quant had a monochromator as opposed to a diode array giving greater measurement accuracy for the determination of nucleic acids. Ever since we got it, the machine has been running almost continuously, and we have been swapping seamlessly between analytical modalities. We have not experienced any issues, the results are highly reproducible and the plate reader is really easy to use. Case in point: we have implemented several colorimetric assays for the quantification of biomolecules. A set of applications we had not anticipated during our purchase. We got excellent support when requested. Mr Frei, the representative in Western Switzerland has gone above and beyond to ensure that we got set up swiftly and had everything we needed for running our projects smoothly. The price of the instrument was also competitive and comparable to other manufacturers. Overall we are very happy with our purchase."

Nice instrument, but with a pitfall
Application Area:Microplate reader - Nucleic acid quantification
"The Infinite 200 NanoQuant is a great microplate reader, extremely versatile and delivering accurate results. Unfortunately, the nucleic acid quantification is awkward: the software we bought does not allow you to simultaneously perform the 260/280 and 260/230 ratio, meaning waste of time and loss of sample. Pity. Hope they update the software."

"It is easy to use, versatile and it’s high quality. It is easy to view data and analyse it. "
The Infinite 200 PRO NanoQuant is ideal for a range of applications, including DNA and RNA quantification during sample preparation for PCR-based assays in research, genetics, forensics and blood banking laboratories, and measurement of the labeling efficiency of dye-labeled samples for FISH- and microarray-based experiments. This affordable plate reader – a simplified version of the standard Infinite 200 PRO multimode reader – covers the UV to NIR spectral range and is available with Tecan’s Quad4 Monochromators™ or UV-stable filters.
The Infinite M200 PRO NanoQuant can detect DNA concentrations as low as 1 ng/μl, and is compatible with Tecan’s patented NanoQuant Plate™, a powerful tool for nucleic acid quantification, quality control and labeling efficiency determination. For ease of use, the system’s i-control™ software includes application-oriented features which enable user-friendly operation of established methods – such as DNA or RNA quantification – with a minimum of interventions. Depending on the application needs, nucleic acid samples can be measured either with the NanoQuant Plate and a low sample volume of 2 µl – conserving precious sample material – or using half-area well plates with a volume of 20 µl, avoiding any waste of the measured sample.
