HD - CR 35 NDT, A film replacement technology, Computed Radiography (CR), is actually a digital radiography technique that uses what we called an Image Plate (IP) made of phosphor material to replace film as the imaging media. Like film the IP comes in various format and sizes and it is also flexible like film. After being exposure to radiation during x-ray or gramma ray inspection, these IPs are being scanned by the CR scanner and the x-ray images are extracted from the IP to the computer digitally for the inspector to evaluate.
