"On the analytical side, this machine is extremely good. We use it as the gold standard for Arsenic determination, for As species and totals. Here at the Institute for Global Food Security our area of interest is food, and specifically for me it is As in rice. The soil it grows in, the roots, stems, leaves and of course the grain. The iCAP Q when coupled to a Thermo Dionex IC 5000 Ion Chromatograph gives us extremely good sensitivity and separation of the various As species. We also get good performance looking a wider range of elements in a full scan. Being a relatively new technique, sometimes there are instrument related problems and most of these are quick fixes, with the odd instance taking longer than expected. Every system has it foibles and in our case the quality of the results far outweighs any few minor service issues. The system is easy to operate and maintain and has turned out good quality data from the week after installation."

"This unit was purchased within months of initial production, but has shown to be relatively problem free. After botched application training, and return visit from another specialist, method development went smoothly, and unit performs to our expectations. The software is a little quirky, but with repeated usage, becomes easier to manipulate. Servicing is a breeze with all serviceable items easily accessible, and well thought out. "
