Very reliable instrument and would purchase again. Analyzed over 700 sample in 2015 using this instrument.
Application Area: Low level mercury in water.
"Instrument is over 10 years old and still has great sensitivity. I'm with the North Carolina Dept. of Environmental Quality and we analyze water from lakes, rivers, stream and industrial effluents for mercury down to 1.0 ng/L. We have participated in the Brooks Rand “Interlaboratory Comparison Study for Total Mercury and Methyl Mercury" and were scored a 5.0. The highest you can score. The instrument has performed very good."
Teledyne Leeman Lab's Hydra II AF Gold Mercury Analyzer meets the requirements of low-level Hg methods with a high-productivity cold vapor atomic fluorescence analyzer.
The Hydra II AF is a fully automated cold vapor atomic fluorescence Hg analyzer designed to meet the requirements of all current low-level Hg analysis methods including: EPA methods 1631 and 245.7 as well as EN methods 13506 and 12338. This system delivers a detection limit well below 0.05 ppt when gold amalgamation is used and 0.1 ppt without it. It also provides a dynamic range that extends to 250 ppb and productivity tools that are unmatched by other CVAF instruments. Tools like advanced high concentration protection and an autosampler that holds up to 270 samples.
For laboratories that require even lower limits of detection, the Hydra II AF Gold includes a gold amalgamation system to preconcentrate mercury and yield a limit of detection well below 0.05 ppt. Both configurations include a high capacity autosampler and an over-range protection system to enhance productivity.
