The publication of the genome sequence of Equus caballus in 2009 was driven by a need to identify the genetic contributions to equine diseases, coat, temperament, fertility & athletic performance. Performing reliable whole-genome expression profiling using Agilent Microarray is an important tool to develop tests for genetically complex equine diseases, novel treatments & improved genetic breeding programs.
