The GS Junior Titanium Sequencing Kit, combined with the GS Junior Titanium PicoTiterPlate Kit, provides reagents and other consumables required for determining the nucleotide sequence of an immobilized and clonally amplified DNA library, prepared using the appropriate GS Junior Titanium kits. After amplification, the DNA-carrying beads and sequencing reagents are deposited into the wells of the GS Junior PicoTiterPlate (PTP) device. The loaded PTP is then inserted into the GS Junior Instrument, where the sequencing reaction is performed.

Information from all of the wells in the PicoTiterPlate device is captured simultaneously by the camera, and processed in real time by the Attendant PC computer. The raw data consists of a set of digital images from which the sequence of the DNA library fragments is determined, and then processed as appropriate for the sample type, (e.g., assembled into a consensus).

The whole sequencing process can be performed by a single individual in just a few hours, in a suitable equipped laboratory.
