The CIS 4 provides unsurpassed temperature control and sample transfer by using patented heating/cooling technology and an optimized 2 mm inner diameter liner. The CIS line of inlets from GERSTEL are the only inlets that can be cryostatically cooled.
If you are using capillary columns, you should be using an inlet design to achieve the best chromatographic performance instead of hot split/splitless or an "all-purpose" inlets that have been designed with packed columns in mind.
The CIS 4 is designed for use with Agilent Technologies 7890, 6890 and 6850 gas chromatographs. It can also be retrofitted into these models.
