"Overall I have been pleased with the performance of the machine and the overall effectiveness and speed of customer service. We have been utilizing these nitrogen generators for over 5 years on our Waters SQD2 and Waters XevoG2XS TOF. These instruments have always been reliable causing us virtually no issues during any of our analyses and they are consistently providing the necessary nitrogen pressure and supply for analysis. The one time we had major issues we were able to get an engineer onsite in 2 days to fix our problems and continue with our research project. In general the staff is very helpful and always on top of scheduling our yearly preventative maintenance months in advance so we can receive timely service. We have had the same engineer for each of our services over the years and the expertise and professionalism he brings to the table is always appreciated. This product makes nitrogen supply for any MS applications a breeze and I would definitely recommend it to anyone shopping for a generator."

"Meets needs of research team for several years. Experiencing issues now. Hole found in heat exchanger, now questioning if membrane needs replacing. Very expensive membrane replacement now considering salvage of equipment and using nitrogen cylinders. So very hard to get in touch with PEAK initially; Research Dr's here say it's almost impossible. Technical help is very difficult. Finally had to contact someone in Finance to help with first order, only person to answer the phone. On second rebuild of compressors, hole in heat exchanger after the PEAK representative visited. Did not receive any better performance after the visit. Now questioning if membrane is bad and replacement cost is extremely expensive, over 4K."

"The updated touch screen and notification of when maintenance is due is helpful. A generator in my lab went unserviced for 5 years and I do not know how it survived. It is being used for LC/MS/MS so nitrogen tanks would have to be shipped every other day which would not be feasible and costly for the lab."

"The Genius NM32LA Nitrogen Generator has paid for itself including annual service support by providing a superior alternative to having to swap out 2 x shoulder height Nitrogen generator per day in the support of the Waters UHPLC. The Generator snatches N2 from the air with a bit of water dribble as 'waste'. In addition to removing manual handling (of gas cylinders) it gets another HSE tick by removing asphyxiation risk from having 2 x G size gas cylinders in the room. I often highlight this item of equipment in lab tours."

"The nitrogen generator is an integral part of our HPLC analysis for mass spec and also when using our ELS detector. The nitrogen stream is at a constant pressure and so gives reproducible results when used in conjunction with the above instruments. Once it is plumbed in and turned on you just forget about it as it is a reliable workhorse. In the 8 years we have had it, we have had to call Peak out only a few times to resolve an issue with it, which they invariably have done within 48 hours of reporting the issue. The only issue I have with this generator is that the on/off switch is located at knee height and can occasionally be switched of accidentally and as the generator runs quietly it can be a short while until this is discovered."

"The service for a repair was horrible. It came to the point that I tracked down the Peak CEO email and social media, and sent my formal complaint to him. It very quickly was resolved after that point, but the immediate persons to the CEO admitted communication badly failed between Peak and myself. (Admittedly, the pandemic peak was in play, but communication was still awry). The equipment itself was reliable but for a much shorter period of time than anticipated. Initial servicing noted that a key filter was damaged faster than expected. I would wish for a longer warrantee on the equipment."

Our lab use to utilize medical grade nitrogen for our MS/MS since we are located in a hospital, but when we relocated to the research facility, we needed to purchase nitrogen generators. These generators do the job. We have a service contract on them so a PM is assigned to each every year. They do make some noise so there is nothing you can do about that. The plug associated with this generator is a NEMA 6-15, but the newer models have been equipped with a regular USA 110. There is an exhaust line that spits out aqueous solution into a 4L solvent bottle that needs to be emptied every week otherwise your entire work area will be splattered."

"A great product which is reliable and effective in what it does – provides N2 gas and avoids the need for changing endless N2 cyclinders that we would otherwise have to do. The N2 generator provides the perfect solution in generating N2 for our thermal modulator within the GCxGC. It is quite, does not lose its pressure/flow and can be continuously run throughout the year (without breaks). The customer service, after we bought the instrument, has been amazing. Peak Scientific’s different service agreement’s has allowed us to tailor our service requirements to our needs.
