Efficient separation of granulocytes and PBMCs!

"The Ficoll-Paque gradient has been wonderful for separating PBMCs from granulocytes and red blood cells. We use a specific cell type that isn't as characterized as others and has some similarities to granulocytes, without the denseness, so using this Ficoll helps to make sure we separate as much of the granulocytes as possible from the cell type we want in the PBMCs. We place the Ficoll at the bottom of our tubes after the blood is already in, so it's a bit of an art to make sure the Ficoll stays separated from the blood, but once you get it, it separates wonderfully each time."

Ficoll-Paque PREMIUM
Ficoll-Paque PREMIUM products are a range of sterile, ready-to-use density gradient media for the preparation of mononuclear cells.
- Cytotoxicity grade 0.
- Low levels of endotoxin (< 0.12 EU/ml) secured and tested.
- A Regulatory Support File (RSF) is available for Ficoll-Paque PREMIUM products.
- Manufactured under a Quality Management System certified to ISO 13485:2003.
- Sterile, ready to use reagents used to prepare mononuclear cell preparations from peripheral blood, bone marrow, and umbilical cord blood by density gradient centrifugation.
Ficoll-Paque PREMIUM products are based on Ficoll-Paque PLUS (see Ficoll-Paque PLUS) which has been used for more than 30 yr as a sterile density medium for the isolation of high yields of mononuclear cells from bone marrow, peripheral blood, and cord blood. All Ficoll-Paque PREMIUM products differ from Ficoll-Paque PLUS in that they are manufactured under a Quality Management System certified to ISO 13485:2003.

Optimized for the isolation of mononuclear cells from human peripheral blood, bone marrow, and umbilical cord blood.

Can be used for isolating a broad range of human mononuclear cells including those of a higher density and for separating blood cells from mice or rats.
Ficoll-Paque PREMIUM 1.073
Can be used when isolating lower-density human mononuclear cells (e.g., mesenchymal stromal cells or monocytes).
