Good liquid handler with a poor software.

"The Tecan Evo is a reproducible liquid handler which makes standard pipetting activities very easy to complete. However it is very difficult to program and the software is not user friendly."

Very good automation software. Programming skills helpful, but not needed.

"The Tecan EVOware is a powerful software package for laboratory automation tasks. It requires Tecan hardware to run, but can be heavily customized to integrate third-party devices. You should already know the basic principles of programming, but it's not necessary to learn coding per se. After a few weeks of practise, short automation projects can already be put into reality. For example, the automated preparation of assay plates, incubation and read-out can be developed within short time."
