The RNAspectra™ Kits, based on GenHunter technology, feature a new generation of DD technology using fluorescent labeled PCR products (FDD) instead of radioactivity. The sensitivity of these fluorescent kits is comparable to 33P isotopic labeling, and have been carefully optimized for use with the Hitachi FMBIO® II Fluorescence Imaging System.

Main advantages of our kit : Sensitivity : Similar sensitivity to that of 33P isotopic labeling. Convenience : Eliminates the safety concern, cost and inconvenience of radioactivity. Reproducibility ; Optimized primer length ensures excellent reproducibility and maximized coverage of expressed genes. Selectivity : The one-base anchored primers minimize the redundancy of the displayed cDNA and simplify the reverse transcription reactions.

FMBIO® II - Fluorescence Imaging System Highlights for Fluorescent Differential Display : Sensitivity : The Read Image Software is optimized for the detection of FDD products run on gels up to 45 x 19.5 cm in size. Selectivity : The four-log linearity provided by the 16-bit FMBIO® II system delivers the high sensitivity needed to detect rare genes together with those which are commonly transcribed. Simplicity : Real-size image printing capability of the Image Analysis Software facilitates accurate band excision to recover differentially expressed DNA fragments from the gel. Speed : Approximate scan time is 45 minutes for target areas.
