Description
The FluorChem ® Q provides highly sensitive and accurate quantification for both multiplex fluorescent westerns and chemiluminescent blots.
For quantitative analysis, the system comes with AlphaView ® Q, which features advanced tools for analysis of multicolor western blots. Imaging is made easy by our protocol driven interface. Users rapidly switch from single channel to multi channel fluorescence or chemi imaging by selecting a preconfigured protocol. This eliminates the need to remember the settings for each imaging type. The FluorChem Q System includes a 4.19 MP camera with 16-bit A/D, cooled to -25C absolute and regulated, 50 mm, f/0.95 fixed lens, MultiImage III cabinet with orange, Cy2, Cy3 and Cy5 filters, white light table, sample tray, 365/302 nm dual-wavelength, dual-intensity UV transilluminator, epi white lights, three specific epi excitation channels and AlphaView Q System software and stand alone AlphaView Analysis software.

"Overall, it's a well-designed, multipurpose system that takes care of just about all imaging needs: DNA gels, protein gels, stained with variety of common and exotic dyes, Western blots detected with colorimetric, fluorescent or chemiluminescent techniques. The only reason it gets "4" for the ease of use is that some necessary and convenient shortcuts or buttons are missing from the software interface, and users cannot customize a toolbar." |
