FLIPR® Membrane Potential Assay Kits are homogeneous assays designed to monitor membrane potential changes influenced by ligand-gated ion channel (Ca++, Cl-, K+, Na+) activation. Each kit provides mix and read simplicity, plus temperature stability to detect real-time membrane potential changes that are suitable for extended high throughput ion channel screening applications and complement traditional electrophysiology assays. Two different no-wash formulations are available (Blue and Red), each using a proprietary indicator dye combined with different quenchers to maximize cell line, channel, or compound applicability while eliminating causes of variability in the data.
Assay kit protocols pre-optimized and validated for use on the FLIPR Tetra and FlexStation® Systems and available in Explorer (10 assay plates, 1 plate/vial), Bulk (100 assay plates, 10 plates/vial) and Express (100 assay plates, 50 plates/vial) configurations.
