"The Fireboy burner was a great addition for remote lab areas that do not have gas hook ups. Easy to use, ran into some trouble with the connection and not being able to light after about 5 years of service. Still great value over running gas lines for occasional use."

"The FIREBOY plus works great with a standard gas hose and gas tank. The only issue we have had in the educational lab is that students tend to spill liquid on the burner head, wetting the ignition electrode, which stops igniting. We then have to take apart the head, clean the parts for it to start working properly again. It is not really a design fault but with young, inexperienced learners, it has been a bit of an issue."

Great product, a little pricey,we have had issues with longevity, but great at 1st.

FIREBOY plus – Portable Safety Bunsen burner
FIREBOY plus ensures highest application safety by providing continuous flame monitoring, overtemperature protection and user-defined, maximal burning times.
The unit can be operated in three different operation modes – button, sensor or footswitch mode. The automatic ignition, triggered by the optical sensor or the foot switch, allows hands-free operation. All functions are easily controlled by the intuitive graphical user interface.
The FIREBOY plus is compatible to common gas types such as butane/propane and natural gas. If equipped with a rechargeable battery (optional) and a gas cartridge adapter, the FIREBOY plus is independent of any gas distribution system and power supply, allowing the unit to be used wherever required.
The smooth, chrome-plated metal housing is easy to clean and both UV- and solvent-resistant.
