"I bought this product recently. For ELISAs I generally use a multichannel pipette which is 30-300ul and the problem was that every time either, I have to fix every tip by pushing hard with the other hand or some of the tips don't take the liquid in or the volume taken in was not the same. These things make my day longer while doing ELISAs. To overcome all error introducing events I thought to switch to a pipette stepper and bought this product. Except for adding the samples I used this stepper in all the steps for adding reagents or buffer. It reduced my effort and time by 20-25%. I made a good decision."

"Our lab needed to buy a multi-dispensing pipette for minipreps and aliquoting reagents, etc. Because the senior scientist has a vendetta against eppendorf for some reason, instead of getting a Multipette which I had a good experience with in my previous job, we got this piece of rubbish. The volume can only be adjusted in 5 steps, so there's a little table on the side of what step/tip size combination will get you a certain volume. But you cannot set it to any volume that doesn't exist in that table, like 700 microliters. It has a weird square cross-section so it's very uncomfortable to hold. The balance is weird so it feels like you could easily drop it by accident. It also feels cheaply made and fragile, after only a few occasions of use, the 2 halves of the body started to come apart. The tip design is also terrible. First, the packets they come in are not banana-peel style and don't have any notch/slit so you have to get scissors or rip them open with brute force (especially not ideal if you're working sterile). Second, they slide in sideways instead of vertically and the fit is poor so it's difficult to mount and eject them. Third, the knob on the end of the plunger is fragile so it can actually BREAK OFF if you're trying to aspirate a very viscous liquid like Tween20. Or sometimes even when you make sure the aspiration lever is pulled all the way up, the plunger holder is not all the way down so you can't get it out."
