"The instrument is easy to use and robust. Whenever there is a problem, it's easy to call the technical support or ask a service engineer to come in a short time. Although it can only provide low resolution mass, the EI spectrum has the capability to match the NIST library to provide possible hits. By using the CI mode, the molecular weight information may be obtained to accelerate the structure elucidation of unknown compounds. "

"We have had this instrument for about 10 years and have had a minimum down time or problems with it. The software could be better. Extensive trial and error is needed to attempt to change compounds in the user library list, but once this is figured out changes are quick and easy. Cleaning the source is fairly trouble-free and if there are problems technical service on the phone is very helpful."

Finnigan TRACE DSQ further enhances this reputation by providing extra sensitivity when you need it.  The new Ion BrightTM source, coupled with an innovative, curved pre-filter delivers and maintains the ultimate performance of your instrument. No more background noise from excited neutrals, no more sample contamination of the sensitive quadrupoles; the pre-filter efficiently removes it.  The DSQ's ability to detect smaller amounts of compounds in difficult matrices can mean less prep time, smaller injections, less sample, more confidence -real productivity.
