"Great quality and reliable (mostly). Once programmes are designed they are easy to use, a little confusing to set up base files though. The occasional missed well when pipetting but otherwise works great. Not very good at judging how long it will take to run a programme. Saves time and hands. "This is really an excellent product of Eppendorf. It makes the sample preparation very easy and with with full accuracy. The instrument we are using for the sample preparation for RT-PCR - ABI 7500 and Eppendorf Mastercycler Nexus Gradient. We are also using this for the DNA Extraction from blood and body fluid. We are also using this for serial dilution also. The pipetting is done with this instrument without noise. The IR Sensor is very sensitive and detects the labware. Few of the complicated DNA Extraction was done on this Epmotion. The door sensor is also very excellent feature; the system will operate only if the door of epmotion is locked. The software part is also very easy to operate. In Future we are planning for DNA Sequence and we are going to use the same instrument for the sample preparation of DNA Sequence. I really thank Eppendorf for developing this type of innovative instrument. Weare also planning to get one DNA Extraction 5075TMX."

"Easy and simple to program and use. The tip-counting feature and deck-check features prevents loading failures. For simple pipetting using the same script over and over this is a nice system. The downsides are: only 4 deck positions (PCR setup not possible), manual change of tool required if needed, slow when handling many samples."

Familiar techniques can be quickly and easily transferred to the epMotion 5070.
Operation takes place over the keyboard of the connected Control Panel. The connected mouse enables free movement of the cursor over the integrated screen. An almost intuitive operation with greater flexibility in the application is made possible as a result. The user is led step by step through the software and prompted to carry out the necessary actions. The blocking of valuable lab surface is also avoided by doing without operation over the PC.
All of the following steps take place fully automatically following the insertion of the dispensing tool: The dispensing tool attaches the pipette tip, the liquid to be isolated is taken up from a supply and dispensed into one or more target tubes. Normally the dispensing is concluded following the ejection of the pipette tip. Optical sensors control and guarantee the reliability of the procedure:
• Testing of liquid quantities
• Testing of the existing pipette tip type with the programming
• Testing of the existing tubes with the programming
The epMotion 5070 Workstation enables quick filling of plates with, for example, buffer in the 384-well scale. It is also possible to equip a MTP 384-well from other formats (e.g. 4 x MTP 96-well).
