The Chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assay is a technique used to investigate the interaction between proteins and DNA in the cell. For example, it may be used to determine whether proteins such as transcription factors and modified histones bind to a particular region on the endogenous chromatin of living cells or tissues.
The kit contains sufficient Protein-G based spin-columns, buffers and reagents to perform 24 chromatin immunoprecipitation assays and up to 10 chromatin preparations.
This Premium kit also includes the following reference standards:
Positive Antibody Control: RNA Polymerase II (H - 244) Rabbit polyclonal
Negative Antibody Control: IgG from Rabbit serum 0.2µg/µl
Forward primer: GAPDH (human promoter region)
Reverse primer: GAPDH (human promoter region)
