Great plate reader!
Application Area:ELISA, Luminescence, Fluorescence Assays
"This Plate Reader is a great value add to our organization, especially with the stacker and file export function. We use this machine heavily for high-throughput ELISA (~40 plates/week) and have not had a single issue. It is also very easy to design assays and the Perkin-Elmer customer support is exceptional. Highly recommended."

"Often doesn't work and requires constant engineer attendance. Requires you to watch your plates being read rather than being able to leave it after loading your plates. Protocols can be easily stored, which is convenient for use. Variation between different models, can make comparisons across raw data hard."

"Sensitive reader for time resolved fluorescence (HTRF and DELFIA) and all absorbance and fluorescence based enzymatic assays. Can be used for 96 and 384 well format and stackable option allows high-throughput capability. Is the main plate reader in our lab due to versatility of read formats."

"Good reader for a variety of applications. Setting up the protocols is a little bit non-intuitive, but not too bad. Once they are set up, they are easy to use. The only 'bad' feature is quite often for AlphaScreen applications, you get a top row effect which can't be mitigated. On the Pherastar, you can get around it by going to a column read, but that is not an option on the Envision."
