Application Area: Analysis of heavy metals in products of animal origin
"As a National Reference Lab of food safety, we were encommended to analyse certain heavy metals in products of animal origin as meat, milk, egg, fish and others. The techique we used for this purpose is liquid chromatography of high performace with inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (HPLC ICP-MS), method that requieres the less inputs of heavy metals from environment, reactants and glassware, that is why we were using nitric acid (HNO3) and chlorhydric acid (HCl) ultra trace quality, which is very expensive, but since we acquire the Milestone duoPUR with the aim of distill nitric acid and chlorhydric acid, both in its concentrated forms, we have saved a lot of money because we are now distilling HNO3 and HCl ACS quality, which are cheaper than ultratrace quality. I blindly recommend this equipment because is easy to use, to clean and is going to save you a lot of budget that you can use in consumables your lab could need."
