"This oven is easy to program and completely reliable. It maintains the set temperature and one feature that I really like is that it is quiet, much more so than other ovens I have been looking at. I also want to say that Binder is a great company when it comes to taking care of their customers. Specifically, I have worked with both Rose P. and Lisa A. and have found them to be great people to work with. They are knowledgeable and display a high level of professionalism. The oven that I chose fulfills my needs. It is also easy to operate and was a very good investment. My level of satisfaction is such that I went back to Binder and purchased three more ovens. I have spent over 25 years working in a variety of different types of labs around the U.S. I am the lead tech in a group of 6 working for a multi-billion-dollar company. When I’m not operating equipment or running a test, I am responsible for purchasing for our lab. If you need equipment for your lab, I recommend Binder."

"Binder ovens (FD series Avantgard) represent a "gold standard" in repeatability and stability. That is why they have become a defacto international standard for laboratory evaluation of cocoa beans. There is also an option on the FD56 oven to have a "temperature boost"--an extra heating coil which dramatically shortens oven recovery times following door opening and roasting tray insertion."

"The drying oven worked very well for a long time. It was able to hold a stable temperature. My samples were reproducible and developing has been a positive experience with this oven from BINDER. Sadly the control panel has now started to give up on us after more than 7 years and we have had to retire the oven."

"The Binder FD56 oven, 230 volt with thermal boost is a fantastic tool in the cocoa evaluation lab. First, the heating to temperature and recovery to temperature following door opening and two trays of cocoa bean insertion is remarkably fast and perfectly consistent. The beauty of the Binder is that it is so incredibly reproduceable in its operating characteristics. In addition, the insulation in the walls means that the oven runs cool in the lab environment no matter the roasting temperature. Solidly built, its doors close like a BMW auto."

"This has been a spectacular oven for us. We have it set for various different solids testing, from TSS to TDS. The temperature stability is excellent. The time it takes to come back to temperature after opening the door and inserting samples is less than 10 minutes, even at 180°C. "
