User-friendly and easy to use
Application Area:Environmental and Waste Water
"The Hach DR 6000 is a very user-friendly and easy to use UV-VIS spectrometer. We use it for UV254 analysis, Cyanide analysis, and we have even utilized Hach's TNT testing kits. The results are fast and reliable, the warm up time on the lamp is quick. Hach's service is outstanding, and they know how to make a user-friendly instrument. We were able to set up our own cyanide analysis program within minutes of plugging in the instruments."

"The spectrometer is very easy to set up, and the on board instructions are very straight forward. The on board Hach tests are easy to use and all instrument parameters are setup for each test automatically. Print function instructions could be a little clearer, but otherwise a nice unit."

"It is easy to set up the instrument. Robust parameter checks before start up. It has built in carousel handles available. Large read out screen is bright and easy to read. There are many Hach methods built-in to the software which can easily be migrated to favorite methods for those parameters used extensively by lab. Small footprint for labs with space constraints."

"The initial setup was simple, but the manual is a little complicated for adding peripherals. Most Hach methods are preloaded and EPA equivalent are well marked. The unit also has entire method available on screen, or on the supplied CD which can be used to print the entire method. Various Hach cells can be incorporated into the built in cell holder and a wide range of accessories can be added. Overall a nice unit for the purchase price."

"The instrument is easy to use and has rapid validation for implementation methods in-house. The value is in its ability to jump into a shoot run of an analysis that is rarely requested or may be requested just once."
The DR6000™ is the industry’s most advanced lab spectrophotometer. It offers high-speed wavelength scanning across the UV and Visible Spectrum, and comes with over 250 pre-programmed methods including the most common testing methods used today.
With optional accessories allowing for high-volume testing via a carousel sample changer, and increased accuracy with a sample delivery system that eliminates optical difference errors, this instrument ensures you are ready to handle your wide-ranging water testing needs.
The instrument also utilizes RFID technology, allowing it to let you know automatically if your reagents have expired, while detecting coefficient factors to avoid errors which can occur in lot-to-lot variations in the chemistries. Partnering all of these features with an integrated QA software package allows for scheduling, documenting and interpreting your needed quality measurements. Your water testing needs, all in one spectrophotometer.
