The dish that you purchased is CELLTREAT #229690 and is a 100mm x 15mm TC Dish with grip ring.Many customers prefer the 15mm dish height to reduce the space required in incubators. Many customers also prefer a deeper dish for all the reasons that you mention. For these customers, we recommend CELLTREAT #229620 which is a 100mm x 20mm depth. The added depth should answer your concerns. Samples of this item will be sent to you to evaluate.
