"It is a quite impressive idea to support automation in a small bench top instrument. It is useful for the beginning stages of research. If you have a small experimental desk space this equipment is a good candidate. However, you should consider other instruments if you want to do lots of sample jobs. It can fit in even the tightest of spaces, with an enviable 650x450 mm footprint. It can be used in several kinds of application areas in bio and healthcare area."

"This is a reliable contact dispenser, which can dispense accurately from 2ul or higher. This system works for 384 well plate and 1536-well plate, which need transfer from 384-plate as a source plate. The percentage CV is usually about 5% or less. We routinely use it for reagent addition. For compound addition, we use it for transfer from serially diluted compound sourcing plate. The down side compared with non-contact dispenser is that the tip cost is a concern for high throughput screen. At a recent exhibition, I note that there are some new features made to this liquid handler. These include 1536-well head, which eliminates the needs for transfer for 1536-well plate stamping or transfer. Also, the plate tower for housing the plates has increased by more than 2-fold. These are unique features and I cannot wait to try it out. Based on my years of experience, I would recommend this product to a colleague and I would encourage them to get the newer versions."

The CyBio® Well pipettor can be configured with 96 or 384 channels. The working volume range spans from 200 nL to 1000 µL depending on pipetting head.
The pipettor is ideal for HTS or research environments using disposable tips. In only 20 seconds, it pipettes and transports a 384-well microplate; in 30 seconds and in just four steps, it processes a 1536-well microplate. Procedures can be quickly and easily created with the CyBio® Composer software. The system consists either of a 3-, 4- or 5-position plate carriage respectively of a circular 10 position transport system with space for processed plates and other accessories such as tip wash station and reagent reservoirs. Optional stacker or dispenser integration together with the involvement of versatile peripheral devices can be easily implemented.
