The CyBi®-Drop is a positive displacement bulk reagent dispenser for reliable non-contact liquid handling and provides automated processing of microplates for biological, chemical, physical and medical laboratories. It is designed as modular system which can be configured as stand-alone dispenser, as workstation in combination with a pipettor, stacker or as complete integration for high-throughput applications.
The basis of the CyBi®-Drop is a ceramic pump where cavities work instead of valves in a rotating piston. The CyBi®-Drop can be equipped with 8-channel or 16-channel dispensing manifolds (combs) with a variety of nozzle types to meet the demands of versatile liquid handling tasks. Up to four different reagents can be dispensed precisely and quickly into 96-, 384- and 1536-well plates in a volume range of 500 nl to 15 μl per shot. For specific applications in the higher volume range, like sample preparation, a CyBi®-Drop HighFlow version is available on request (25 μl – 80 μl per shot).
The patented droplet generator technology ensures excellent performance within a wide volume range of reagents, buffers, protein solutions, organic solvents and cell suspensions. The unique cell recirculation function enables homogeneous and gentle cell dispensing without settling effects. The CyBi®-Drop works absolutely disposable-free.
