"This is a favored instrument in my flow core. I have modified the PE-Cy7 and APC-Cy7 filters to band pass rather than long pass to reduce IR compensation issues. It is the instrument of choice when large files are required to be collected quickly. It is one of the few analyzers in my lab that actually runs well at >20,000 events/sec. I have been using Summit software for 16 years and have no issues with how it runs. "

"A great flow cytometer for high throughput screening. It has good sensitivity, measuring multiple fluorophores in cell-based assays."

"Cyan ADP takes several sessions to become familiar with. The number of colors I can use has been beneficial to my research. However, the user software and analysis software is complete garbage. The software was supposedly "coded" by scientists. It is now apparent that scientists cannot code. There are several useful functions, however the program crashes every 10 min rendering the software slightly better than worthless."

"The CyanADP flow cytometer by Beckman Coulter is an excellent machine that has made flow cytometry very easy and useful in the laboratory. It is easy to use and useful for both graduate students and undergraduates. I definitely recommend this machine."
