"The Invitrogen Countess has been a good addition to our laboratory. We function using the staff-assisted, investigator-initiated model which brings researchers of a wide variety of skill levels to our facility. It is very easy to teach even an undergrad to use this instrument reliably, and it standardizes their results such that they will get the same cell count as your most seasoned post doc. Particularly in siRNA screening applications where the transfection quality is so heavily cell density specific, standardization of cell populations is absolutely essential. This is a low cost item that I would recommend to any lab that does a large amount of cell culture." |

"It always works well. Would be great if it was a little cheaper, we spend a lot on the disposable chambers. A washable chamber would be much appreciated." |
