Works even in polar conditions with some creativity

"We have been using the Coriolis µ in alpine and polar environments to collect bioaerosols. The handling is fantastic and easy, however, in cold environments (Bertin does not promise any other) the sampling procedure becomes tricky due to freezing of the collecting solution. Also, in dry conditions, the collecting solution evaporates very quickly. There would be an option to resupply the fluid, however, it is not trivial to do that in the field. One needs to be creative to make this instrument applicable in cold conditions. The battery life is not that great and the costs for an extra battery are immense."

"We ordered the long-time option of the Coriolis. It comes nicely packed. However, the liquid supply tubing was blocked before the first usage. fortunately we had spare tubing to replace it. Before purchasing the device we had a nice in-house presentation of the different Coriolis devices, provided by Bertin. The buttons on top of the device are a bit hard to press. Overall, the handling is really intuitive and easy. It would be nice to have a long-term monitoring system where the Coriolis is fixed to its stand instead of just putting it on top of the 'long-term measuring table'."
