Description
How can flexibility and process economics be combined in one LC system?
KNAUER introduces the flexible Contichrom® lab process equipment
Mining and enrichment in discovery, isolating product-related impurities, or developing efficient purification processes can be very laborious. The new lab-scale gradient-capable purification solution Contichrom® lab offers great flexibility for all process choices (batch LC, SMB, MCSGP, multi-column) using a single equipment and control software.
Fast development of an optimized purification process is being achieved by omitting large screening efforts and instead starting from a simple non-optimized batch process that is switched to a superior MCSGP process by the user-friendly Contichrom® lab control software.
The MCSGP process principle uses two columns instead of one and makes use of impure fractions, typically discarded in batch chromatography. These impure side fractions containing product are recycled internally by continuous column switching, maximizing extraction of the product.
• Both yield and purity can be improved by 50%.
• Throughput can be increased by a factor of ten and solvent consumption be reduced by 70%.
All standard resins and column formats (RP, HIC, IEX, SEC) can be applied, ranging from low to high pressure, offering full solvent compatibility.
Contichrom® lab has been designed to be very user-friendly, employing software that helps the user to navigate through the process setup, execution and reporting while being 21 CFR part 11 compliant.
Is your LC purification system equally adaptable?
