Agilent's ConFlat Flanges have set the industry standard for vacuum flange performance. Agilent utilizes unique manufacturing processes and techniques to ensure leak-free performance in ConFlat Flanges. Our flanges are manufactured from type 304 ESR or 304L stainless steel. ESR stainless steel is manufactured using a process known as Electro Slag Remelting. This process is a further refinement of the stainless steel and results in higher purity, fewer inclusions, a more uniform grain structure, and generally improved properties.
