"I had the pleasure to operate the comPILER in conjunction with 10 comPOUND freezers for about 3 years. It was used to process microtube samples in support of a HTS department. It was fairly easy to learn to operate and program but it requires a technically inclined person to really master it and push it to the limit--we actually were able to process over 10K microtube samples in a day with the limitation being the retrieval from and storage to the comPOUNDs. With routine care and maintenance, it worked wonderfully. The service engineers were also a great pleasure to work with. I highly recommend this equipment to support high-throughput processing of valued samples."

comPILER – automated store-to-plate sample handling
TTP Labtech’s comPILER is an addition to the comPOUND® family that provides high throughput, automated sample access and processing. It arrays, thaws, centrifuges, decaps and gasses microtubes before presenting them to a liquid handler for reformatting. Once plates are prepared, microtubes are returned to comPILER for recapping and storage – all without operator intervention. comPILER maintains sample integrity outside the store by filling each tube with inert argon gas ‘plug’ to maintain the sample microenvironment.
