The codon humanized pRluc-C vectors contain a multiple cloning site (MCS) located upstream of the codon humanized Renilla Luciferase gene (Rluc(h)) which acts as the Donor moiety in a BRET2 assay. The MCS allows for the subcloning of a gene of interest in order to create a fusion protein having the structure [gene of interest: Rluc(h)]. The Rluc codons have been humanized to ensure higher expression levels of the fusion protein in mammalian cells. The fusion protein gene is placed under the control of the cytomegalovirus (CMV) promoter thus assuring a very high constitutive expression in a variety of cells. This vector kit includes three plasmids (one for each reading frame).
