Closed Barrel - simple storage for dried solvents
SeccoSolv dried solvents in new, fully sealed barrel system. No adapters needed.
How can we make it better? At Merck we’re always striving to make our products safer, easier and more cost effective to use. Package engineering is an essential part of all our products, especially to maintain the stringency of our SeccoSolv® dried solvents. Our new fully sealed barrel system provides the latest innovation for maintaining the integrity of your dried solvent supply.
• Keeps moisture out – perfect for very water-sensitive applications
• Quick connection – no adapters needed
• No direct contact with solvent, no hazardous vapors
Moisture is the enemy
Dried solvents are very sensitive to water. It’s essential to keep them free from moisture during storage and use. Although the stainless steel barrel system used for packaging SeccoSolv® dried solvents is extremely effective, it’s a bit difficult to connect. There must be an easier way!
Cumbersome and costly adapters – who needs them?
An adapter was required for connection with the old barrel system. It took up a lot of space and required very careful handling. In addition, it was quite expensive. We solved these problems by redesigning the barrel – getting rid of the adapter entirely. Instead of using an adapter, quick connectors enable connection of gas supply and solvent withdrawal tubes directly to the rim of the new fully sealed barrel.
Currently, Acetonitrile and DMSO are offered in the new fully sealed 30 L system. Need another packaging size like 10 or 185 L? Interested in one of our other SeccoSolv® dried solvents packed in the new fully sealed barrel system?
Just ask us. We’re happy to provide custom options to fit your needs.
Sure, Merck’s new fully sealed barrel system keeps your SeccoSolv®solvents dry, but that’s not enough. Protecting you and the environment is just as important. Easy, secure connections.
