Application Area:Light and phase-contrast microscopy for microfluidics
"This microscope is used for light and phase-contrast microscopy of cells and particles in our microfluidics lab. Compared to our standard upright microscope, you get a lot more and better microscope for less money with this system. We've added LEDs and filters for fluorescence as well which makes this into a very nice and affordable fluorescence microscope. The service from Olympus when it comes to calibrating the system or adding new components has also been great. The only downside is that in order to be able to image the field of view as you see it in the oculars you will have to add a fairly pricey 0.5x lens to the CCD-mount."

"We have the Olympus CKS41 inverted microscope in my cell biology teaching lab. Connected to an Olympus DP-25 digital camera, it provides great resolution and a very clear, bright image. It is easy to use, which is of utmost importance in a teaching setting."
