I would use this product again.
Application Area: Food Testing Research and Development
"We had great results using this product. It was easy to prepare and use. Additionally, sales staff and technical support were knowledgeable. The only issue was some background organisms had similar appearance to O157 strains, but this was expected as samples were enriched in a selective broth."

"I used chromagar O157 over a six months period for detecting E.coli O157 from feces samples. The strongest negative point is that if you store the made plates for more than a month, it does not function as well. O157 does not look pink anymore! So you will have to use it fresh! It should come with supplement as well as chromSTEC agar to make the use easier. "

"These products are easy to use, once made. However, the process of making them is unpleasant. The need to boil the solution is time-consuming, especially when large volumes are involved. Also, it would be nice if the color 'scheme' of O157 media matched ECC and STEC (ie: on O157, E. coli is mauve/pink, on the other two medias, it is blue)"
