It is a great media and is easy to use and read.

"It is a great media and easy to use and read. It has some false positive for E.coli. Basically some blue colines that were not E.coli when I PCR them but it is very rare. "

Application Area:Differentiation of E.coli from coliforms
"As with other CHROMagar products, identification of target organisms via color differentiation can be very challenging. The website shows one set of colors, the pamphlet shows a different hue of colors. I find this product extremely overpriced for how little use it is in the end. PCR still needs to be done to confirm the colonies. Customer service is wonderful, it's simply product that I have a problem with. "

"This product is relatively easy to use. It detects differing types of bacteria from a mixed sample. The agar does begin to solidify rather quickly so it is important to work quickly and efficiently. The dual detection allows for much faster analysis than alternative methods."
