Best imager for Westerns
Application Area:Imaging Western Blots
"Much more sensitive than other imaging systems for Western Blots. Software is easy to create a merged image of colorimetric and UV. Detection of very low abundance proteins can still be a little problematic but has been great otherwise."
The ChemiDoc Touch Imaging System is a fully featured instrument for gel imaging and western blot imaging.
Featuring a compact design that integrates an intuitive touch screen with a powerful computer, this imaging system uses application-specific trays for chemiluminescence and UV/visible fluorescence detection including stain-free gel and blot imaging (only with Bio-Rad stain-free gels).
The ChemiDoc Touch System features best-in-class sensitivity and image quality plus a linear dynamic range and signal-to-noise ratio superior to film imaging. The touch-screen user interface running Image Lab™ Touch Software is easy to learn and use and optimizes performance for fast, integrated, and automated image capture of various samples.
Using the ChemiDoc Touch Imager as part of the V3 Western Workflow™ brings a new level of quality control and quantitation to the western blotting process, allowing you to visualize, verify, and validate your results at multiple points throughout the process.
