All solutions integrate seamlessly into the existing interface, which then simply presents more options to the user without any need to retrain on a different workflow.

• Multichannel 5D Solution for cellSens Dimension: The Multichannel 5D solution for the cellSens Dimension has been developed specifically for advanced, automatic acquisition of images combining any number of these five dimensions (5D): X, Y, Z, multi-channel with transmission overlay and time lapse). As a result, this solution module conducts highly complex microscope experiments with multiple regions of interest. Co-localisation studies and spectral unmixing for overlapping fluorescence emission signals are easily performed, and there is full support for the Olympus spinning disk confocal unit. Furthermore, the user interface adjusts according the needs of the image, so that only the required elements are displayed.
• 3D Deconvolution Solution for cellSens Dimension: The Olympus cellSens Dimension Deconvolution solution module uses a constrained iterative algorithm to remove out-of-focus blur, sharpening images so that researchers can extract more information from their images. The resulting impressive image stacks can be visualised with the powerful Voxel Viewer that shows structures, iso-surfaces and projections.
• High End Camera Solution for cellSens Dimension: Following the needs of advanced researchers the High End Camera Solution allows cellSens Dimension to take advantage of some of the latest EM-CCD cameras. Additional controls are added to the Camera Control Panel to allow effortless usage of these cameras advanced features in the usual cellSens interface.
• CSU Solution for Dimension: The CSU Solution integrates in the cellSens Dimension the control of the Yokogawa CSU-X1 high end version of the spinning disk confocal unit. Through the option of adapting and automatically choosing the best rotational speed needed, it is possible to maximise the performance of the CSU-X1 inside the cellSens Dimension software.
• Multiposition Solution for cellSens Dimension: The Multiposition solution module introduces automated MIA functionality for the rapid creation of panoramic images. It also makes it possible to capture images from multiple stage positions, or entire stage areas. The module is designed to control a range of motorised stages from a range of manufacturers.
• Well Navigator Solution for cellSens Dimension: Working together with the Multiposition Solution the Well Navigator Solution meets the needs of all users with customizable pre-sets for a wide range of plate formats. Users can extract single images from the needed positions or create a full panoramic image of each well, using both brightfield and multi-fluorescence imaging. Thanks to Olympus range of ZDC focus compensation units perfectly focused images are guaranteed across all the plate extension, without user intervention.
• Count & Measure Solution for cellSens Dimension: The Count & Measure Solution module adds efficient and precise threshold-based object detection, as well as automatic measurements and classification. Physical and morphological parameters allow precise characterization of a population of objects, with exportable data reports and graphs. Additionally, the brightfield spectral unmixing tool emphasises the subtle differences in faintly stained samples.
• Multichannel Acquisition Solution for Standard: The Multichannel Acquisition Solution integrates into the cellSens Standard Process Manager, allowing for the quick and efficient capture of complex multi-channel fluorescence and brightfield single images. Working with cellSens Standard’s expanded control of encoded and motorised microscope accessories, this solution assists the user in quickly grabbing the needed channels and automatically combines them into a single image. Users will be able to define their most frequently used channel combinations and save them for quick recall.
• Database Core Solution for cellSens Dimension and Standard:
The need for management of large amounts of images and related data is answered by the Database Core Solution. By allowing to manage the database structure and the user level right it guarantees a transparent and safe archival of the laboratory’s microscopy results.
• Database Client Solution for cellSens Standard, cellSens Dimension and cellSens Entry: While needing the Database Core Solution as a prerequisite the Database Client Solution naturally complements it, allowing the deployment of many imaging stations which can then contribute to shared archives of images and data. With the capability to store and retrieve data, and most of all to freely search across a complete database, this Solution gives laboratories the freedom of quick and save data archival, for rapid building of extensive research or quality control archives.
• Manual Process Control Solution for cellSens Standard: This module adds two powerful image processing workflows. Instant EFI allows the automatic and effortless creation of extended depth-of-field images: just manually focusing through your tick sample will allows cellSens software to automatically monitor in-focus details and add them all togheter to the final image. With manual MIA the possibilities of panoramic imaging are made available through a guided wizard: simply select the desired size of the final image and the software will help the user in moving over the sample in the correct way to acquire each needed single image. It will them automatically compose the final image, taking care for invisible stitching and border refinement.
• NetCam Solution for cellSens Standard and cellSens Dimension: Using standard TCP/IP protocols, the labSens Solution NetCam facilitates the transfer of live, as well as stored, images throughout a network for teaching, mentoring or supervision. As a result, even when outside of the laboratory, colleagues and/or supervisors can monitor the work from any point on the network, improving the efficiency of the laboratory.
