Cell-Free DNA BCT is a direct draw blood collection tube which stabilizes nucleated blood cells. The unique preservative limits the release of genomic DNA, allowing isolation of high-quality cell-free DNA. Cell-Free DNA BCT has also been demonstrated to minimize the degradation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs). By limiting cell lysis, the specialized chemistry provides sample integrity during storage, shipping and handling of blood samples. Cell-free DNA and gDNA are stable for up to 14 days at 6 °C to 37 °C. CTCs are stable for up to 7 days at 15 °C to 30 °C.
Cell-Free DNA BCT eliminates the need for immediate plasma preparation and CTC processing, allowing for convenient transportation from the collection site to a centralized testing location or reference lab for analysis.
