Cecil BioQuest CE 2501 Life Science Spectrophotometer by Cecil Instruments Limited

The Cecil Bio range of UV/Visible spectrophotometers are designed for use in Life Science and Molecular Biology laboratories.

The BioQuest UV/Visible range Spectrophotometer operates throughout the wavelength range of 190-1100 nm. With an optical bandwidth of just 4nm, stray light of less than 0.01% and wavelength selection to 0.1nm outstanding accuracy is achieved. The CE 2501 is specially progammed for Protein Analysis including Bradford, Lowry, Biuret, BCA and Direct UV methods. Nucleic Acid assays may be determined by Warburg and Christian, Kalb and Bernlohr or user selected parameters. DNA, ssDNA, dsDNA, RNA and oligonucleotides may be quantified and examined for purity using one, two or three wavelength ratio methods. The BioQuest may also be used for other UV/Visible spectrophotometer analyses. Scan software enables wavelength scans to be performed at speeds ranging from 1 to 4,000 nm/min and plotted directly to an external printer or transferred to PC. All spectra are fully annotated for wavelength and Absorbance value with fully documented reports produced automatically.

The instrument may be connected directly to an external printer or to a PC. The unique screen display with scrolling to a maximum width of 550 mm, facilitates excellent screen display of plots and reports.  Extra software may be instantly added by typing in an ESEF code.  A wide range of accessories, including nano cells for sample handling and temperature control may be added.
