"Diagenode's Bioruptor® ultrasonicator devices are indeed the "Most cited ultrasonicator" and the most popular in the field of Epigenetics as well as many other fields of biomedical research. The shearing of chromatin by sonication is a critical step for the success of gene target (ChIP) or large genome Next-Generation Sequencing technology (ChIP-Seq) for analysis the protein-DNA interactions in vivo. With my extensive experience with Diagenode's Bioruptor I found it the most easy to be used, importantly very reproducible from one experiment to another, with the best quality of results. The Bioruptor® Pico is the new next-generation all-in-one shearing device, highly optimized for DNA shearing for next-generation sequencing, chromatin shearing for ChIP-seq applications, RNA shearing, protein extraction, and cell/tissue lysis.
